10-DAY TRIP + FAMILY TO FAMILY (CAMP + STEP F2F)

This Program mixes the Short Term (Family to Family) Program and the Camp. Yes!! It’s two programs in one.

The Family to Family Program will happen before or after the Amazon Camp Experience. Priority will have those students interested to have the Family to Family experience. If places will remain, we will have a waiting list for those interested only in the Amazon Camp.

Maximum length of the stay: 90 days! Brazilian counterparts will visit in Dec 2022/January 2023.

The main theme is mountainbiking at various places in Jutland combined with Danish culture and lifestyle.

The program is focused on Environment, Democracy, and Architecture important features of Scandinavian societies and tradition.

Silkeborg is the center of the largest forested and lake rich area in Denmark, on the camp you will experience this. However, Silkeborg is a rich cultural town with art, a long history and close to the second largest city in Denmark.

The camp consists of two parts. the participants will first spend one week togehter with their host families toget an idea of the Finnish way of life. during the camp period we alls tay togehter in Kearanta summer camü in Naantali.

The International Youth Camp (IYC) committee will prepare you to successfully complete a 200-kilometre canoe trip in two-person, aluminum canoes. You will be expected to fully participate in all aspects of the camping/canoeing trip including cooking, setting up tents, paddling, and of course, carrying equipment and canoes over the seven portages.

LEARN AND PRACTICE SAILING IN THE SOUTH SWEDISH ARCHIPELAGO

Two adventurous weeks in the Valais region of the Swiss Alps.

Introduction to alpine environment and climbing on rock and ice for beginners and medium level. They will also practice canyoning and via ferrata. Acquaintance with flora, fauna and geology. The camp is supervised and led by professional mountain guides.

Each summer, a select group of students from countries around the world come to San Diego to participate in high-level music-making and cultural exchange.
